Description
Curate Framework for AAC Intervention™ is designed to help speech-language pathologists, special education teachers, and families simplify the process of supporting emerging AAC communicators. It’s designed to help teams separate the parts of intervention into manageable components to assess and applaud small, incremental changes along the way. The process of Curating is reviewed in the guide. Curate AAC Planner is a collection of handouts to support evidence-based practices at home, in the classroom, in therapy sessions, and the community. If you are familiar with AAC intervention, I hope you don’t find a single new concept in this e-book. The idea is not to introduce new concepts into the field but to organize the existing research, practices, and ideas into doable, actionable habits for families, SLPs, and special education teachers.
AAC in three simple steps:
1. Consider your mindset and set your intentions.
2. Curate your strategies, lessons, and activities.
3. Cultivate habits that support authentic communication.
